Clarkson Evans started life as a family business in the eighties when Steve Evans, now Managing Director, began trading as ‘S P Evans Electrical Contractor’ using his spare bedroom as an office. Since then the company has grown beyond recognition, employing around 700 staff wiring new homes across England and Wales.
We work for all the leading house builders and our phenomenal growth is thanks to our drive to continuously improve what we do and to provide first class customer service. To achieve this we recruit the cream of the crop where electricians and apprentices are concerned.
We are one of the biggest apprentice employers in the electrical industry, with positions available at all of our branches all year round. There’s a tough recruitment process but getting an apprenticeship with Clarkson Evans could be the start of a bright career in the electrical industry.
Here’s what we’re looking for in our apprentices:
A passion to develop a long-term career with usA good academic standard (normally GCSE Grade C or above in English, maths and a science)The knack for practical work and preferably some experience of DIY or employment in a hands-on role.Genuine teamwork skills with experience of working with others Good organisational skills so that you’ll be able to work full-time but manage to meet deadlines for handing in college work.A full driving licenceThe drive and commitment to work long and sometimes unsociable hours in all weathers in order to get the job done
