Founded in 2012, Intelligent Point of Sale Limited (based in Edinburgh) develops cutting-edge software for SMEs as a low cost, cloud-based electronic point of sale (EPOS) solution. Intelligentpos® is an easy-to-use and set-up mobile and fully customisable iPad-based till system, allowing credit card and contactless payments, stock-control, automatic re-ordering, table management, gift cards, promotions, discounts, deposits, and loyalty schemes. It is designed to maximize efficiency, automate and help grow a business thanks to its powerful reporting system, which allows remote management and control, anytime, anywhere. The Company’s mission has always been to provide an affordable EPOS system which has the ability to put the trading power of an international corporate in the hands of an independent sole trader and small business. Current clients range from pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs with a single till point in one location through to multiple tills across multiple locations. The advantages of the intelligentpos system are put to good use at events and festivals, such as the Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury and T in the Park for pop–up operations, where speed of service is critical, and the solution is powering an increasing number of small and medium-size businesses in the retail and hospitality sector. EPOS systems are notoriously very expensive but that is not the case with intelligentpos® . The app is free to download and costs start from £39 per month for a single iPad Terminal and £29 per month per device for additional terminals. Updates and software support seven days a week are free of charge.
