Swindon’s own BG Automotive (BGA), a leading name in the global automotive aftermarket, celebrated a monumental achievement last week as it was honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for International Trade.

The award presentation, which took place at BGA’s UK headquarters, welcomed a very special guest HM King Charles’s representative, The Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Troughton who personally presented the award and ceremonial scroll.

As one of Swindon’s key employers, BGA opened its doors to showcase not only its achievements but also its strong ties to the local community. The Lord Lieutenant, along with other distinguished guests, was given a guided tour of BGA’s offices, warehouse, and Research & Development centre, where they witnessed BGA’s quality-driven approach to manufacturing. Live demonstrations showed how BGA’s products are rigorously tested against OEM standards, highlighting BGA’s commitment to producing aftermarket parts that consistently meet or surpass original quality.

Reflecting on the achievement, Chris Cameron, BGA’s MD, expressed heartfelt appreciation:

The celebration extended to more than 150 BGA team members, who enjoyed food from local vendors serving wood-fired pizzas and smash patty burgers. With the weather unexpectedly turning sunny, the team gathered for a group photo with the gigantic BGA/King’s Award flag.
