Vic Young Conversions has the green solution for businesses in need of electric tippers.

With an ever-growing demand for electric vehicles in business, South Shields based converter Vic Young has risen to the challenge of creating a complete electric range. Varying in vehicle type, the fleet of electric Nissan and Renault vans include a wheelchair accessible hackney carriage, a refrigeration van and a lightweight box, amongst others.

Vic Young have produced a range of electric tipper options based on the Nissan e-NV200 and Renault Kangoo vans; one a drop side cage and the other a drop side without a cage. The tippers are environmentally friendly and also storage friendly, with a rear under storage compartment.

Managing Director, Vic Young is dedicated to the electric vehicle revolution:

“I continue to be immensely proud of our achievements in the electric van market. Our electric tipper range has been a marvel for businesses who come to us and we know this will continue as demand grows in this industry.”

The big question of course is range and charge. The Nissan e-NV200 tipper has an extended range between 124 and 187 miles (combined and city WLTP). Rapid charge capability is between 40 and 60 minutes. The Renault Kangoo tipper has up to a 170 mile range and can be fully charged in up to five hours on a fast charge.

As well as their range of drop side/cage tippers, Vic Young Conversions are responsible for a suite of fully electric vans including box vans, wheelchair accessible taxis, crew cabs, refrigeration vans and high roof vans. These vehicles have a range of up to 187 miles and come with a 5-year/100,000-mile warranty for design and manufacturer defects.
