Bruntwood SciTech - the largest dedicated property platform serving the UK's innovation economy - has once again teamed up with leading commercial law firm Hill Dickinson to sponsor and host the LandAid North West 10k and 5k runs for 2024.
The race, set to bring together professionals from across the property community, will take place on Thursday 6 June at Bruntwood SciTech's Alderley Park in Cheshire. Starting from outside Glasshouse, Alderley Park's vibrant 150,000 sq ft tech and innovation hub, the route is set among 400 acres of scenic parkland, woodland, and farmland which surrounds the world leading science and tech campus. Those taking part will be able to work in the vibrant co-working spaces at Glasshouse during the day and soak up everything Alderley Park has to offer before heading to the start-line.
Funds raised from the event will go directly to LandAid, the property industry charity. LandAid brings businesses and individuals from across the UK together to support projects that provide life-changing accommodation for young people facing homelessness. By awarding monetary grants and arranging free property expertise, LandAid enables charities to provide safe, warm and affordable accommodation within a supportive environment for young people, helping them reach their full potential. Last year's event helped raise over £12,000 for the charity.
New to this year, the event will include prizes for Fastest Male, Fastest Female and Fastest Team.
Josh Whiteley, Commercial Director, Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund, added: "It's great that we were able to support LandAid again by hosting their North West 10k and 5k at Alderley Park. After the success of last year's event, we can't wait to welcome runners to Alderley Park again, to help support tackling youth homelessness."
Nathan Cornish, Chair, North West LandAid Board said: "We're really excited to see the return of the North West 10k and 5k to the LandAid events calendar. Thank you to Bruntwood SciTech and Hill Dickinson, especially Debra Cooper, for being involved and backing the great work that LandAid does.
"Whether you walk or run the trail, I would strongly encourage you to take part if you're able. It really is such a rewarding experience, in terms of both the picturesque location and the funds being raised - plus we really hope everyone who took part last year will come back to beat their time!"
Debra Cooper, real estate finance partner, Hill Dickinson, said: "We are thrilled to continue to sponsor and physically take part in this LandAid event alongside Bruntwood SciTech. As part of our commitment to our community, we hope to raise more money than ever before for the vital regional services the charity provides to 16 - 24 year olds to help bring an end to youth homelessness. So we're very much looking forward to seeing the North West Corporate and Real Estate community join forces again for a great cause and an exciting race."
Entry costs £30 per person for the 5k and £35 per person for the 10k, with team entries available. The event takes place at 5:30pm on Thursday 6 June 2024 with race HQ situated in Glasshouse at Alderley Park. You can sign up to participate in the event here.
