Midwest Motor Factors is launching a food collection bank in a bid to support underprivileged people in the local area.

The collection will be set up in each of the Midwest branches, including Bilston, West Bromwich, Brownhills, Rugeley, and Wolverhampton.

Midwest Motor Factors is now calling on the public to get behind the initiative and dig deep, donating any tinned items, packets or boxed produce with long-term ‘best before’ dates.

Midwest has a great affinity with the community and regularly gets involved with charity events and local sponsorships. It is currently sponsoring Bilston Town FC throughout the 2016-17 season as well as Wolverhampton Wolves based at Monmore Green Stadium throughout 2017 in the toughest and top league in British Speedway, the Sky Sports Speedway Elite League.

Paul Yardley, Area Factor Manager, said: “There are times when we need to come together as a community and offer a helping hand to those who need it most. Even the smallest donation will go a long way and so we’re encouraging every bit of help we can get to help make this ongoing project a success, even if it’s just a couple of cans!”

If anyone in the community would like to donate any food, they are kindly asked to place the items into the metal bin provided at Midwest and Monmore branches or get in touch for further information.

Midwest Motor Factors started in 1980 in Willenhall, West Midlands. Today, the company employs 80 staff and has more than 40 vans operating out of a number of branches across the West Midlands alongside the award-winning Monmore Auto Parts branch, which is based in Wolverhampton.
