Fast-growing law firm Aaron and Partners has announced the appointment of Katy Seago as a Restructuring and Insolvency Partner to support ongoing growth both regionally and nationally.
Katy joins from DLA Piper in Manchester where she worked for more than 10 years, having previously held positions at leading national firms DWF and Cobbetts LLP.
Katy specialises in non-contentious aspects of corporate recovery, restructuring, turnaround and insolvency, and has a wealth of experience advising insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors and other stakeholders in relation to financially distressed situations.
She also has broad experience across a number of sectors including retail, manufacturing and industrial with a particular interest in the distressed real estate sector.
Based at Aaron and Partners’ Altrincham office, Katy will support the firm’s strategic objectives, expanding its reach across the Greater Manchester area and continuing the firm’s commitment to growth in the region and beyond.

Katy is well known in the Restructuring market on a local and national level and is a passionate advocate for diversity within the insolvency sector and the legal profession as a whole. She co-chairs the Midlands & North of England network of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), which aims to connect, promote and celebrate the success of women in the restructuring and insolvency profession worldwide.
