Top 50 UK law firm Birketts has officially opened for business in Bristol, making it the firm's seventh office, as its growth plans across the South continue.
Based in Bristol's EQ building, Birketts, recently named as one of The Times' Best Law Firms 2025, will provide business and private client legal services across the region, the UK and internationally.
Birketts had operated a ‘hub’ in Bristol since January 2021 but has now established a full-service presence in the city.
CEO, Jonathan Agar said:

The Birketts Bristol office will have a strong sector focus, including financial institutions, insurance, private wealth, renewables and clean energy, agribusiness, and shipping and international trade. With five Partners already in Bristol, the firm is actively looking to grow its presence there further over the coming months and years.

Birketts currently has offices in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich, London, Norwich, and Sevenoaks, with Bristol being the firm’s first office in the South West.
The law firm’s decision to base its Bristol practice in EQ Bristol echoes Birketts’ own commitment to sustainability. EQ has pledged to being the first Bristol new build office to deliver net zero carbon in its operation, which echoes a key commitment in Birketts’ ESG Framework, including the drive towards reducing carbon emissions.
