One of the North West’s fastest-growing accountancy groups has reinforced its commitment to Greater Manchester by relocating its specialist corporate finance team from St Ann’s Square into its established city centre offices in Peter Street.

DJH, which provides clients across the UK with audit, accounting, tax and a host of business advisory services, has expanded its St George’s House premises as part of the move that takes its headcount to over 200 across the region.

In less than four years, the firm has increased revenues in the North West by nearly 240% from £5m to in excess of £17m through a combination of organic growth and a series of acquisitions, including Haines Watts in Altrincham, Lyon Griffiths in Nantwich and DTE in Bury.

It is now focusing on tapping into the business renaissance in the region and the government’s desire to maintain the Northern Powerhouse agenda by building up a strong pipeline of talent to help it facilitate further expansion.

“Manchester is one of the UK’s fastest-growing economic hubs outside of London, with significant investment in technology, media and manufacturing,”

explained Scott Heath, CEO of DJH.

“The diversity of the companies - from starts-ups and owner managed businesses to big corporates - fit our portfolio perfectly and we believe we are now in a great position to support their day-to-day business advisory requirements and any M&A activity they may be considering.”

He continued:

“Our own acquisition strategy has accelerated our move into the North West, with our city centre office complemented by a presence in Altrincham, Bury, Chester and Nantwich.

“Revenues have passed £17m in the region for the first time, but this is just the start. We are keen to build stronger links in the city and strengthen existing relationships with the outstanding colleges and universities we have here.”

DJH’s commitment to personal service and becoming a trusted extension of the client’s team continues to be its driving philosophy, a philosophy that has seen it become a top 40 UK accountancy group with a national turnover of £40m.

The firm, which has eleven offices across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, specialises in owner managed businesses and working with companies involved in construction, dental, education, franchise, property and transport and logistics.

It also has a proven track record in helping engineering and manufacturing businesses navigate the complex economic landscape and make the most of new opportunities.

Scott went on to add:

“We’ve got our first big networking event in Manchester later this week (March 20th), with over 150 professionals set to descend on The Refuge on Oxford Street.

“The idea is to bring together lawyers, bankers, entrepreneurs and local experts in a relaxed environment where we can celebrate the best of what the North West can offer over a few drinks, whilst enjoying tunes from the resident DJ.”

He concluded:

“We want the DJH name to become a real powerhouse in the area and this will be supported by high profile members of our Manchester team.

“Our strategy includes attracting top talent through relationships with Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan and Salford Universities, developing specialist services and embracing tech to support our trusted advice – all geared towards helping our clients grow.”
