Smith & Williamson the financial and professional services firm, has been honoured with three significant industry awards.
The firm won two awards at the MPF Awards for Management Excellence, including the Best Managed National Firm category and Best Co-ordination in Winning New Work category.
Regarded as being the Oscars of the professional services world, the MPF Awards for Management Excellence have provided leaders and management teams of professional service firms with independent evidence of their contribution to achieving personal and firm goals.
The Best Managed National Firm award is presented to a firm that has demonstrated significant added value for clients and employees across all service areas and departments. The winner needed to demonstrate that they were driving positive change internally and for their clients whilst achieving clear and measurable results.
Smith & Williamson’s winning submission demonstrated the strength and depth of the firm’s service offering, and demonstrated client satisfaction, financial performance, training and school leaver programme, new senior hires and technological developments.
The award for Best Co-ordination in Winning New Work is awarded to a firm that demonstrates a strategic and collaborative approach to winning new business. The firm had to be able to show that frontline and in-house experts work together effectively to build lasting client relationships.
Smith & Williamson’s entry was based on the firm’s ‘Scale-up programme’ and demonstrated how it is proactively helping create and drive the eco-system that makes the UK the world’s best place to scale a business.
Commenting on Smith & Williamson’s entry the MPF judges said:
“Smith & Williamson was the clear winner with a submission that met every requirement of the category. Their Scale-up programme required collaboration across every office, every service line and every level. It’s embedded within the overall firm strategy, has delivered millions of pounds worth of new business and helped deliver record results for the firm. In addition to having a measurable impact on their own business, the programme is having a wider impact as well.”
John Hodgson managing partner at the Birmingham office of Smith & Williamson, said:
“These awards are a fantastic endorsement of our firm’s emphasis not only on quality of advice but also excellence of client service and outcomes. “We strive to be the UK’s most respected independent provider of complementary financial and professional services and recognition of this kind only serves to spur us on to continually invest in our people, platforms and technology base for their benefit.”
