National law firm TLT has boosted its expertise in family law, and further expanded its presence in Birmingham with the appointment of Lorna Tipple as a partner in the family law team.

Lorna brings over 20 years of experience to the firm, having previously worked in leading national, regional and boutique firms and advises on all areas of family law.

Her extensive experience includes advising on wealth protection by way of pre and post nuptial agreements in cases involving intergenerational wealth and family businesses. She also advises high net worth clients on financial matters following divorce, often involving property portfolios, trusts and business interests.

She also has extensive experience in complex matters involving children, such as parental alienation, intractable contact disputes and allegations requiring fact finding hearings.

Lorna has built a strong reputation for her family law expertise throughout the West Midlands and beyond and is well known for her strategic approach and her excellence in client care. She regularly acts for business owners and medical professionals, advising on divorce and the division of family finances, complex child arrangements, domestic abuse and wealth protection through pre and post nuptial agreements.

In addition, Lorna’s expertise and full understanding of the regional legal market has seen her consistently featured in the Legal 500 rankings as a recommended key lawyer.

Mark Elder, partner and head of location in Birmingham said:

“Lorna’s arrival is another step forward for our family law team and for our Birmingham office. She has an excellent reputation in what is a very important region for us and many of our clients will require her well-rounded expertise. We are excited to welcome such a highly regarded voice to the team.”

Natalie Drew, partner in TLT’s family law team said:

“Demand for family law expertise has increased in recent years – likely driven by pandemic-related and socio-economic factors. Lorna’s appointment will allow us to continue meeting this growing demand, enabling us to continue providing the best service to our clients, across a range of issues. Her tactical approach to complex matters in all areas and her ability to unpick tricky issues and provide clear, strategic advice will help us to prepare our clients for what comes next.”

“TLT’s family law team has a reputation for being one of the most trusted and respected in the sector. I’m delighted to be joining the firm during such an exciting time, six months after it opened its doors in Birmingham. I look forward to supporting the growth of the family law team.”
