Tristone Capital – the buy-and-build-and-hold investment group – has launched a charitable foundation, with a percentage of future deal value being invested into its Tristone Community Fund.

The Tristone foundation will support local communities by promoting health and wellbeing, education and employment, while helping to create safer and thriving neighbourhoods. Grants will be awarded to grassroot charities, local community groups and the voluntary sector to create both immediate impact and a lasting legacy.

In future, any business that is acquired by Tristone will be offered the opportunity to contribute to the fund as part of the deals process. Tristone will also make a meaningful contribution as part of each deal, as well as inviting its advisors and supply chain to contribute.

Tristone founder and CEO, Yannis Loucopoulos, said:

“At the heart of everything we do is the group of individuals we support and care for. Creating powerful societal impact and positive change across our portfolio is an essential part of Tristone’s philosophy. As such, our aim is to attract and invest in like-minded businesses that place the same emphasis on making a real and measurable difference to society as we do.

“The Tristone Community Fund is a perfect way for us to extend that purpose beyond our business community, enabling us to donate vital funds to charitable and community causes that are important to both our team and to the businesses in which we invest in.”

The foundation has been launched in partnership with the Cheshire Community Foundation, which will manage the funds on Tristone’s behalf – utilising its close links with 47 other community foundations across the UK.

Mel Sproston, CEO of Cheshire Community Foundation, commented:

“We’re delighted to assist Tristone Capital to achieve their social impact aims through this fund. Our vision is for local groups in Cheshire and Warrington to have access to grant funding, focused on addressing local need and empowering marginalised communities. This support is provided through the generosity of businesses like Tristone Capital with a deep commitment to the region. Community foundations are perfectly placed to understand the needs in every locality and address them using funds like this one.”

The launch of the foundation comes after the Tristone business community generated £4 million in social value during 2023. Through a bespoke social value platform, Tristone can capture, measure and demonstrate the social value generated across the group.
