International law firm Trowers & Hamlins, with offices in Birmingham, continues to bolster its construction capabilities in the Midlands with the recent appointments of Paul Mountain and Tim Willis, who have joined the firm as consultants.

Paul was previously a partner and head of construction at SGH Martineau in Birmingham. He specialises in non-contentious construction work, with a particular focus on areas including education, energy, regeneration, and heritage and culture. He also advises on the formation of not-for-profit companies and social enterprises and on related governance matters.

Paul's appointment follows that of Tim Willis, former construction and engineering partner and head of renewables at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, earlier this year. Tim is Solicitor Advocate, having originally practised as a barrister. He is also a former Chairman of the CIArb in the Midlands and Vice Chairman of the Adjudication Society. He specialises in providing contentious construction advice and conducting litigation, arbitration and adjudication.

The construction capabilities of Trowers & Hamlins' Birmingham office have grown significantly recently. The appointments of Paul Mountain and Tim Willis follow those of Victoria Ball, who joined the non-contentious team from Interserve's in-house legal department, and Tanya Chadha on the contentious construction side. The Birmingham construction team now has nine members.
