Two esteemed care sector professionals have been recruited by local home care company Home Instead Bristol North to establish live-in care, marking an exciting new chapter of growth for the business.

Bringing a joint 44 years of care experience with them, Claire Kemp and Sarah Parsons will widen the care services offered by Home Instead Bristol North. The company’s live-in care offering will see a Care Professional move in with a client and deliver not only outstanding quality care, but also act as a trusted companion throughout the day.

Claire and Sarah come from Premier Care. Claire was a senior supervisor, having had 30 years of experience in care, including a stint as a home carer. Sarah began working at Premier Care 14 years ago, beginning as a home carer and progressing into a senior supervisor role. The pair have been appointed as Live-in Care Supervisors for Home Instead Bristol North, heading up this new service that will help older people live the life they want at home.

Gone are the days when moving into a care home is the only option when care needs grow; Claire and Sarah are keen to make this clear to families across the area. Establishing live-in care, Home Instead Bristol North can keep people at home and support them at every stage of their care journey.

The company’s two new recruits will work with clients throughout their care experience, and their family, developing the live-in care package right for them. They will match a Care Professional who is best suited to the client based on shared interests and personality traits so that they develop a meaningful friendship.

Claire says:

“I’m delighted to join Home Instead Bristol North at such an exciting time for the company. Live-in care is a godsend for some people. Instead of moving into a care home, they can continue living in the place they love best, live by their preferred routine, and carry on attending the activity groups they love. It’s like having a friend moving in with you who not only provides care but also shares your favourite pastimes with you. The future will see live-in care only rise in popularity. It will play a huge part in our company growth.”

Sarah says:

“I speak from experience when I say that it takes a certain kind of person to be a Care Professional. We can’t wait to welcome onboard compassionate people who will move in with clients, gel with them and give them the company crucial for their physical and mental health.”
