Shield Safety, the trusted name in food safety, health and safety and fire safety, has appointed Robert Belton as Strategic Growth and Partnerships Director, strengthening its Senior Leadership Team.
In his new role, Robert will utilise his expertise as both a Chartered Safety Practitioner and Environmental Health Practitioner, together with his extensive experience in high-level managerial roles and sector-specific advisory positions. As Strategic Growth and Partnerships Director, Robert will develop partner and customer relationships that demonstrate the strategic value of Shield Safety’s expertise and ensure requirements, expectations and outcomes are met through the advice and design of fit-for-purpose safety solutions from the company’s portfolio of products and services.
With extensive leadership experience spanning multiple diverse industries, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and unique perspectives to Shield Safety. His exposure to different challenges across various sectors and high ability to effectively tackle complex problems is set to benefit Shield Safety’s clients with robust and adaptable strategies, developing innovative solutions, and enhancing trust and credibility.
Former industry posts in Robert’s esteemed career include a Directorship at leading UK law firm, Ashfords LLP; Board Director at the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology; Chair, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health London Food Safety/Health; Consultant to the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy; UK Health and Safety Lead - Assistant Vice President at Barclays and; Policy and Regulatory Manager (HSEQ) at Sainsbury's Supermarkets.
Robert has also acquired significant senior level experience in the safety field as a Member, Management Committee; IOSH Retail and Distribution Group; a Senior Environmental Health Officer, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, a Qualified Lloyds Lead Assessor, and a IOSH Risk Assessor.
