Gloucestershire based business Leisure Pods Ltd who manufacture their own brand of catering trailers “Caterpods” have turned their talents to caravans, and will be launching their new, funky and lightweight Campod at this year’s Motorhome and Caravan Show, held at the NEC in Birmingham next month.
Proving that good things come in small packages, the Campod is unique in being the only small caravan with dual side openings, which allow for panoramic views.
Campod caravans will be launched at the show by designers and company owners James and Tom, who will be showcasing their new product from October 18-23.
The Campod has a unique first to market drop-down footwell as you enter, which gives greater headroom (up to 6ft 3”), and easily sleeps two people, with dining space for four. It is outstanding for caravan novices because of its unusual design. It is highly compact, with a curved body that alleviates cross winds, and has wheels on the outside with no need for extended mirrors, making it very easy to tow and manoeuvre. For those who have never reversed a caravan, the Campod is light meaning that it can be unhitched and pushed into position by hand. There is the option to have a motorised jockey wheel, if preferred. Its size means it also fits easily onto a driveway.
Giving even more versatility there is also the opportunity to take the Campod completely off grid with a wide range of optional extras, including a solar roof panel, gas water heater, gas & electric space heater, an external hot/cold water shower and a full-length body awning.
