Coventry copper tube manufacturer and supplier, Lawton Tubes, has been honoured with a King's Award for Enterprise for International Trade exporting over £30m worth of copper pipes and fittings.

The company has been chosen in recognition of its substantial worldwide distribution network, which has seen considerable growth in recent years.

The awards, announced Monday 6 May, are the most prestigious business awards in the country, celebrating outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, sustainable development, international trade, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

David Rebeiro, International Sales Manager for Lawton Tubes, comments:

"We are extremely proud to have won and achieved the prestigious Kings Award for International Trade and Enterprise."

"Lawton Tubes is a family-run business. Established still 1918, we're a trusted and dedicated UK manufacturer and supplier of copper tubes and pipes. Acceptance of this award confirms our commitment to our international sales market and our efforts to expand the business worldwide"

A global supplier

Alongside its UK operations, Lawton Tubes exports copper tubes, pipes and fittings to the global ACR, Plumbing, Medical, and Engineering markets in over 42 countries.

Its products, produced to meet strict ISO & BSI standards, have made Lawton Tubes a key supplier in several major overseas developments including hospitals, hotels, and leisure resorts.

"Our overseas partners trust us to meet the demands of their clients for both quick delivery and quality."

says Rebeiro.

A multi award-winning business

Lawton Tubes is one of 252 organisations nationally to receive a prestigious King's Award for Enterprise, and one of only 161 companies to be honoured for its excellence in international trade.

Having previously achieved the Queens Award for International Trade and Enterprise in 2019, Lawton Tubes decided to reapply for the award due to significant growth in exports over recent years.

Employing over 140 people across three facilities, Lawton Tubes was founded in 1918. It manufactures and supplies copper pipes and fittings worldwide with a CNC machining facility, primarily supplying fittings to the water industry. The company prides itself on its fast turnaround times and exceptional customer service, achieved through its own distribution network and vast range of high-quality copper products.

Robert Lawton, International Sales Director for Lawton Tubes, will be attending a Royal Reception at Windsor Castle, to accept the award from King Charles III, which allows Lawton Tubes to use the esteemed King's Awards Emblem for the next five years.
