Adam Sargent has joined Meor, the brand marketing agency based in St Ives, as Senior Creative after seven years at Harbour Brewery.

Adam, known as Beersargent on his social channels, is a well-known photographer in the hospitality industry, where he regularly captures images of Nancarrow Farm and the Paul Ainsworth restaurant group, including The Mariners in Rock and Caffè Rojano in Padstow, as well as making an appearance behind the lens at Cornwall’s flourishing roster of food festivals. Within his previous role, Adam led all aspects of marketing, including the rebrand of Harbour Brewery alongside MD, Eddie Lofthouse, which has supported the brands’ success in reaching new routes to market.

On Adam’s appointment, Nik Read, Managing Director of Meor said:

“It’s an incredibly exciting time in the Meor journey, as we look to expand from a solely brand and web agency to a brand marketing agency, and so it’s a pleasure to welcome Adam to the team with his plethora of experience, as part of this vision.

We’ve spent years creating and growing brands, not only with the visuals that customers see such as menus and logos, but also building the social media presence to align with brand stories to help grow footfall and sales.

With Adam at the helm of our social team, we’re able to offer clients on-brand content independently, or alongside strategic social media account management. We’ve invested in our team and alongside skilled photographers we also have short-form videographers, editors and account managers.

We are very excited about Adam joining us, he’s already a skilled content producer and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the hospitality and drinks industry to our team.”

Adam added:

“I’ve loved my time at Harbour and there are still more exciting things to happen with the brewery, but I feel that now is the right opportunity to invest in my interests and skill set to help brands grow organically. It’s a really creative area to be in as it's a constantly changing landscape of trends and styles. My new role as Senior Creative at Meor allows me to work with a wide variety of brands, and it’s an exciting opportunity to make positive impacts on social for our clients.”

Meor work with well-known brands in the South West such as Hub Box, St Ives Food Festival, the Harbour House group (including Harbour House in Flushing, as well as Beach House & School House in Devon). The team also work nationally with brands such as Caffeine Ltd, Reform Athletica and Tiki Tonga Coffee. This week saw Meor launch Dorian Janmaat’s New restaurant, Ardor. Last year they helped launch Loafs Bakery in Penzance to great response. Adam will be joining Meor’s team of eight, who are based in St Ives.
