Entrepreneurs Unlocked CIC is thrilled to announce it has secured funding from the National Lottery Awards for All programme to expand its impactful work supporting individuals in prison and on probation.
The funding will enable Entrepreneurs Unlocked to broaden its reach beyond prisons in the Northwest, extending into North Wales, Yorkshire, and the Northeast, benefitting a total of 300 individuals over the next 18 months.
The project will deliver 18 'Inspiring You' sessions designed to empower participants with the knowledge and confidence to explore self-employment opportunities. These sessions will introduce participants to the self-employment landscape, helping them understand the entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed and participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how self-employment can be a viable and rewarding option for them.
The programme aims to deliver tangible outcomes, including improved confidence, resilience, and entrepreneurial skills, as well as a reduced risk of re-offending.

The initiative will leverage the lived experience of Entrepreneurs Unlocked Ambassadors, who have successfully launched their own businesses after prison. These ambassadors will co-deliver sessions, sharing their stories to inspire and motivate participants. Their involvement ensures that the programme is relatable, impactful, and tailored to the unique challenges faced by participants.
