The award was given in recognition of Visual Architects' redesign and transformation of the Liverpool nightclub, Vice into a futuristic, Miami Vice inspired experience.
Event décor and installation specialists, Visual Architects took home the gong for Best Brand Activation at the inaugural Access All Areas Awards on Thursday (12th January). The award, which was delivered to the Hyde, Manchester-based company at a ceremony at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney), came in recognition of the striking Miami Vice-themed redesign of Vice cocktail bar and nightclub in Liverpool for the venue's reopening in June 2022.
On receiving the award, Visual Architects Co-founder and Creative Director Lefteris Angelidis said, "we are absolutely thrilled to have received the award for our interior design at Vice. This was an in-depth project which took months of planning, design and construction, which was one of the most rewarding projects to see come together; we had no idea back then it could have won an award!
"After our designers drew up some of the most striking visual renders we had seen, the challenge was to accurately transform these designs into a real environment. We were very pleased to see the final work illuminate the interior with the high-contrast and engaging effect which was planned.
"It will be exciting to find out what exposure for the design and the Vice brand this award could result in, and how this could give further ideas for design and new experiences across the hospitality and events industries."
Vice has become a favourite hangout amongst Liverpool's party crowd thanks to the creative vision of Visual Architects. Its interior has brought a new brand of urban attitude to the city from neon lights, sassy slogans and tropical foliage, through to the installation of mirrored walls, telephone booths, and the front and back of a genuine Ferrari for one-of-a-kind photo opportunities.
The transformation won over the panel of event industry experts to beat the likes of Black Deer Festival and Love Victoria, solidifying Visual Architects' profile as one the most innovative event and venue design collectives around today.
The work of Visual Architects has also been featured at festivals Kendall Calling and Boomtown Fair, at brand activations for Adidas and Superdrug, and at Manchester's Secret City: Drive In Cinema. The company is working on a host of exciting to-be-announced projects for 2023 and is set to build on its fast-growing reputation for creative excellence.
