A new £8 million older people’s housing development in Bristol has reached the highest point of its construction, with project partners gathering on the roof to celebrate the milestone.

Haberfield House Extra Care, in Stockwood, is made up of 60 one and two-bedroom apartments for the over 60s. Residents will also benefit from communal facilities including a lounge, dining area, salon, hobby room, garden and onsite care services.

The scheme is being developed by energy and regeneration specialist ENGIE on behalf of Bristol Charities.

Once completed, Haberfield House will link in with the existing Bluebell Gardens Extra Care housing scheme next door, creating an all-inclusive retirement community in the area.
