Homeowners have begun moving into Adlington Retirement Living’s new community in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Brookfields House, on Clayton Road, which offers a selection of 75 age-exclusive one, two and three-bedroomed apartments, is fully open and has been welcoming new homeowners since September.
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said:
“Becoming part of an Adlington Retirement Living community is far more than your new apartment. It’s a chance to become part of a thriving community and to enjoy having a supportive network around you. We provide a safe, secure and happy environment with a circle of like-minded friends and a sense of belonging.”
Having a supportive network in later life can make a world of difference to wellbeing. In fact, ARCO, the independent body that sets standards for retirement communities, found that moving to a retirement community results in a 24% decrease in anxiety symptoms among owners and residents.
Adlington Retirement Living homeowners have access to their own on-site management team in each community, who are available 24hours a day, 365 days a year. Like a good neighbour, they’re the first port of call for any problems, large or small, and will always go the extra mile to help out.
The new homeowners at Brookfields House are receiving a warm welcome from their hand-picked team of six highly experienced duty managers, led by General Manager Mike Keane, who have been appointed to ensure homeowners enjoy the highest standards and outstanding support from day one.
Mike Keane, General Manager at Brookfields House, said:
“We care about our homeowners and we’re all here to provide the best service we can to them. I make sure that we’re always maintaining the highest possible standards. Our team are busy planning a range of activities and events for our homeowners from yoga classes, and arts and crafts to gardening clubs. Our first homeowners moved in last month and we’re looking forward to welcoming more in the next few weeks.”
The 24-hour on-site support team will provide homeowners with added peace of mind and optional personal care packages can be put in place to suit individuals’ needs. Be it short-term support after an operation, or more regular, long-term tailored personal care, the team work closely with their local care partner to ensure a flexible solution to suit each individual.
In addition to this, there is a sophisticated emergency call system and a security video entry system to manage access.
Communal facilities at Brookfields House include a homeowners’ lounge, coffee lounge, restaurant, hair salon, therapy room, and activities studio, all of which can be used by homeowners as an extension of their own private apartment.
All apartments include quality, fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances. Many feature en-suite shower rooms as well as separate bathrooms, and most have a private patio area or walk-out balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens.
