Godwin Expands Bristol Presence with The Acquisition of Next Residential Site

The business has exchanged contracts with affordable provider Places for People for their Dove Lane scheme


National property business Godwin Developments announces that it has recently secured its second site in Bristol through the acquisition of Places for People's consented Dove Lane scheme.


The gateway development situated in central Bristol has detailed planning for 358 homes, including 72 affordable properties, spread across buildings of various heights, as well as public open spaces, landscaping, and areas dedicated to shops, businesses and community activities.


The 4.3-acre former paper factory site benefits from a gateway location next to the M32 motorway and offers ample opportunities for walking, cycling and public transport to access Bristol city centre and the wider conurbation.


Godwin plans to work closely with Places for People and build on the design, community and stakeholder engagement work already undertaken by them during the next stages of the development.

Dove Lane is the second residential scheme for Godwin in Bristol, who recently submitted a planning application for a high-quality 101-bed student living scheme on Newfoundland Road, situated next door to Dove Lane.
