Clockwise
, the multi-national flexible workspace provider, has supported its client Capsule in their latest office expansion in the popular Cheltenham location.

In 2021, founders Tom Wynne and Liam Green set up Capsule to be a different kind of insurance broker, specialising in supporting high-growth, venture-backed scale-ups with bespoke insurance programmes that evolve alongside their businesses. Since then, it has experienced transformative growth, counting the likes of Bloom & Wild, Castore and what3words among its clients – and now stands at over 50 employees.

Clockwise has been the host of Capsule’s headquarters from the beginning and has recently facilitated the company’s move to a new floor of their 5-storey building.

Workspace as a Strategic Growth Partner

“I initially selected Clockwise on the basis that they were able to support our small team as we grew,”

says Liam.

“But our headcount rose more quickly than anticipated. What started as just three team members has now grown rapidly to 50, and it speaks volumes about Clockwise’s flexibility that we have been able to stick with them throughout.”

“For Capsule, Clockwise has been more than just an office provider – it's been a strategic partner in our scaling journey, providing the spaces that we need to support the various sides to our work. We had an ambitious five-year target when we first moved in, and we’re well on track to achieve it during our time here.”

Flexibility at the Core

Capsule's hybrid-working model finds its ideal complement in Clockwise's versatile spaces. With most members of staff coming together two or three times a week, the office becomes a dynamic collaboration hub. Among the building’s amenities are diverse working environments (such as private meeting rooms and phone booths, a café, relaxation areas and outdoor terraces) as well as an on-site team that is available and accessible to its members.

Liam adds,

“Clockwise’s entire setup is really attuned to a high-growth business’s needs. Before our latest move, they took the time to understand what we needed from the space in the long term. We’ve been able to put our own stamp on it, too, customising our surroundings to reflect the vibrant culture we’re building. With their help, we’ve created the perfect workplace for Capsule.”

Beyond Physical Space: A Partnership of Values

As a certified B Corp, Capsule's commitment to social responsibility extends to its workspace choice. Clockwise's supportive environment – where sustainability is ingrained in the corporate vision and values, culture, and everyday actions – aligns perfectly with the broker’s ethos.

As Capsule’s Marketing Director, Victoria McDonnell????, explains,

“We knew that we wanted to become B Corp certified from the off. So, it was important for us to choose suppliers that align with our environmental, social and governance commitments. Clockwise uses LED lighting, runs on 100% renewable energy, hosts a significant solar panel installation, has extensive recycling stations, and offers plentiful green space. Their vision for a future in which every work environment and experience has a positive impact for people, places and the planet really resonated with us – and it made our choice a no-brainer.”

Future-Proofing Growth

As Capsule continues on its mission to support the most exciting brands in the fintech, enterprise tech, consumer and frontier tech, health tech, and sustainability sectors, Clockwise will continue to support their growing workplace needs. On the horizon for Capsule in 2025 are a further 25 new hires across a number of office locations in the UK – and no doubt many will be calling their Cheltenham HQ home.
