Open ECX Bolsters Team Amid Expansion Into New Sectors

Software provider Open ECX has
created a raft of roles to meet growing demand as it expands into a host of new sectors.

The Manchester-based company has secured recent business wins in industries ranging from hospitality and food and beverage to engineering, property services, construction and healthcare.

It has also secured new partnerships with several organisations to help them enhance their customer offering, alongside contracts to provide additional services to existing clients.

The company has made a series of appointments in its commercial and operations teams to support its expansion and the onboarding of new customers.

Joseph Smith, Rachel Kirby and Lucy Murphy have joined the commercial team while Emma Garland, Angus Varndell, Dylan Meadows and Malak Farhat have been recruited to the operations team.

Further recruitment is planned over the coming months to fuel the company’s ability to continue its rapid growth.

Open ECX is an award-winning provider of SaaS-based software which automates business transactions.

The company specialises in order-to-cash and procure-to-pay technology designed to help businesses better manage their financial processes, covering aspects including invoicing, ordering and statement reconciliation.

Its software integrates with an array of leading ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft.

The business, which has its headquarters in Blackfriars House in Manchester city centre, is backed by private equity firm MonacoSol.

Open ECX has marked its entry into the food and beverage sector with new customer Becketts Foods, a UK bacon and gammon manufacturer which supplies the foodservice and retail sectors.

In the healthcare sector, Open ECX has won medical equipment manufacturer Vernacare as a new client.

Other recent customer wins include Arco, a £300m-plus turnover supplier of workplace safety equipment and provider of advice, training and consultancy services, and Solenis, aglobal producer of specialty chemicals for water-intensive industries.

Property services and retrofit specialist Cardo Group, engineering company Portsmouth Aviation and paving and walling manufacturer Tobermore are also recent additions to Open ECX’s customer base.


Among the recent new
strategic partnerships are ones with Kerridge Commercial Systems, a provider of ERP and business management software for the distribution, automotive and rental industries, along with Medius and the National Merchant Buying Society, a buying society in the UK for independent builders, plumbers, heating, roofing, hardware and timber merchants.
