Hazel 4D has implemented a next-generation wireless network in its new state-of-the art warehouse and UK distribution facility in Leeds. The Redway Networks designed’ Cisco Meraki cloud-networking solution is providing robust, scalable wireless connectivity and communications for Hazel 4D’s automated warehouse and distribution operations.
Hazel 4D is an expert in packaging, serving large organisations across the UK and Europe. It combines technical advice with a vast range of packaging consumables and machinery to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and improve business performance.
Alex Surtees is the Operations Manager at Hazel 4D with responsibility for client experience delivery. He says:

In January 2024 Hazel 4D moved to a new high-spec warehouse that was built with a sharp focus on sustainability. It had to kit out the warehouse, including a new wireless infrastructure, whilst staying operational so Alex needed to find a wireless provider it could trust to design a robust solution that would deliver optimum performance and meet its tight timescales.
After evaluating several IT companies, Hazel 4D chose Redway Networks as it is a specialised wireless networking company with a proven track-record of delivering complex warehouse Wi-Fi projects.
Redway Networks’ engineer was instructed to conduct a professional onsite survey using Ekahau’s heatmapping software which provided Hazel 4Ds management team with a comprehensive design report profiling where the new access point locations should be and the performance expectations of the network.

Redway Networks’ delivered a robust wireless LAN with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed Wi-Fi6 to provide a wireless communication network to support Hazel 4D’s warehousing and logistical operations. The design was engineered using Ekahau’s heat mapping software to guarantee 100% wireless coverage in the warehouse from day one to support warehouse operations.
