Leading Shropshire marketing agency Adfield Group has forged a new partnership with Shrewsbury-based Start Tech, one of the county’s most respected managed IT services providers. The collaboration helps Adfield gain Cyber Essentials accreditation and protect the business against ever-evolving cyber security threats.

Gareth Thomas, Chief Operating Officer, Adfield Group said he was confident the partnership would ensure Adfield's digital security. Commenting on the new relationship, Gareth said:

“With the number of cyber incidents on the rise across all sectors, strengthening Adfield’s cyber defences is one of my top priorities for the business – and that’s why we have decided to partner with Start Tech.”

He continued:

“We were looking for experts to help us refine our cyber security measures, and the Start Tech team perfectly suited our requirements. Working with local businesses allows us to play our part in driving growth in the region’s economy and building stronger community ties. I am certain our collaboration will set a benchmark for excellent IT practices within our industry.”

Forging partnerships with local companies is a top priority for Adfield. By maintaining close relationships with nearby employers, the agency aims to expand its network, stimulate the local economy and generate greater brand awareness.

Despite its Shropshire origins, Adfield works with businesses throughout the UK and overseas. Its professional team counts organisations in the manufacturing, technology, material handling and intralogistics, veterinary products, transportation and public administration sectors among its clients.

Many of its clients have invested significantly in products and services and the need to maintain security around these in the ever-evolving digital age is paramount.

Start Tech came to Adfield’s attention following recommendations from several local businesses – a testament to the value of community partnerships.

Founded in 2000, Start Tech has an impressive track record of supporting companies in their efforts to bolster cyber security measures. With a team of highly experienced IT specialists, the organisation offers a wide range of managed IT support services designed to reduce the risk of cyberattacks. Start Tech also supports its customers in obtaining Cyber Essentials accreditation, a UK Government-backed security standard that demonstrates a commitment to cyber security.

Ian Groves, Start Tech’s Managing Director, said he was very enthusiastic about the partnership with Beckbury-based Adfield.

“We are delighted to provide Adfield with market-leading IT support and guidance. As well as helping them to secure all-important Cyber Essentials accreditation, we will work diligently to ensure the company remains protected against all types of cyber threats,”

he said.

Adfield’s new partnership with Start Tech represents a strategic investment in making the business as robust and resilient as possible. With Cyber Essentials accreditation and Start Tech’s expert guidance, Adfield strives to maintain a secure IT infrastructure capable of safeguarding digital assets.
